Prospective Students
Welcome to The Office of Supportive Services (O.S.S.) at Syracuse University. The Office of Supportive Services administers the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and the Student Support Services (SSS) program. The mission of the office is to provide access to and an equitable opportunity to succeed in higher education for those who would not otherwise have the opportunity.
We work collaboratively with the Office of Admissions to identify and enroll students who are historically under represented in higher education. These programs offer the following services:
- Academic Counseling
- Career Counseling
- Computer skills instruction
- Developmental courses (Personal & developmental support)
- Financial aid and advocacy
- Leadership experiences
- Peer Mentoring
- Professional and peer tutoring
- SummerStart (Summer Orientation program)
- Writing Support (enhancement)
