Thinking About College Incoming Students Why SU? Welcome to The Office of Supportive Services(O.S.S.) at Syracuse University. The Office of Supportive Services administers the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and the Student Support Services (SSS) program. The mission of the office is to provide access to and an equitable opportunity to succeed in higher education for those who would not otherwise have the opportunity. At the heart of our programs is a family, and community orientation to the work we do. Your involvement as a parent or guardian in the college experience of your child is significant. We want to hear from you and we welcome your phone calls and emails. Together we have the best chance of providing meaningful services and ensuring your child gets the most out of their Syracuse University experience.
